Biggest bombshell!!General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Takes The Kids Away From Willow With Monica’s Help!
General Hospital (GH) recap for Thursday, April 17, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) made a sacrifice while stranded Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) got a hero. Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) also had a clue for Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), so here’s how all Thursday’s GH drama played out.
On a road near the Quartermaine estate, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) strolled up on horseback and saw that Molly had a flat tire.
Although Cody tried to change the tire for Molly, the spare had a hole in it and couldn’t be used. Cody suggested the backup plan instead and convinced Molly to get on the horse with him, so they shared a close, awkward ride together.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) talked to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) about his desire to be a dad, so they got on the same page about adoption being the way to go.
Brook Lynn and Chase discussed a baby as an option, but they were also open to adopting an older child.
As Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) packed up her things in the deputy mayor’s office, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) stopped by to fish for the real story behind her resignation.
Curtis wasn’t buying that this was just about Jordan and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) not seeing eye to eye on Sonny. The only other time Curtis saw Jordan act like this was when she was undercover, so Curtis pushed for answers.
Jordan didn’t want to lie to Curtis again and damage their friendship, so she urged him to back off. Curtis finally agreed to respect Jordan’s privacy on this, but he wanted her to reach out if she needed his help.
At Sonny’s place, he hosted a birthday party for Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Dante could tell that something was bothering Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), so he pushed his son to open up while they were outside.
Rocco admitted he’d been looking at the press conference backlash and all the awful comments about Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) connection to Sonny.
Since Rocco viewed himself as the link between them, he felt responsible and was wary of Sonny coming to his debate when Laura was going to be there.
Sonny overheard Rocco’s concerns, so he assured his grandson that he’d just watch the video Dante made of the event later.
Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCiero) found out Sonny wasn’t going to Rocco’s debate and ranted since he played it off like business was getting in the way. Dante privately suggested they could tell Olivia the truth, but Sonny wanted the heat on him instead of Rocco.
Lulu, Gio, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears), Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) were also guests at Dante’s birthday bash.
At one point, Gio wound up talking about his mother traveling right up to his birth, so Lois looked uncomfortable as she tried to steer the conversation. Lulu heard about Gio’s mom supposedly going into labor mid-concert and having him in Los Angeles.
At the law office, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) found out Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) was Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) son, but Marco insisted he didn’t lie after Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) joined the discussion.
Lucas took off while Alexis noted that Marco still lied by omission. However, Marco argued that Alexis didn’t use the Cassadine name and had distanced herself from her family to forge her own path, so he thought she could understand.
Since Sidwell hadn’t been convicted of any crimes, Marco pointed that out. Marco also called attention to all the times Sonny and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) had gotten off the hook.
Although Marco wondered if Alexis would rescind the job offer, she needed to talk to Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) first and made a prediction about doing a thorough background check.
At Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) place, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) relayed Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) concerns about the referendum and how this would affect Laura.
Felicia suggested Carly could help get Sonny on board with what the voters decided, but Carly was hesitant to get involved and expected Sonny wouldn’t just accept defeat.
Afterward, Lucas arrived and gave Carly updates on Jason seemingly threatening Marco earlier. Since Sidwell was Marco’s father, Carly heard that news and assumed that was the reason for Jason’s behavior.
Although Lucas initially acted like the Sidwell shocker dashed the possibility of a romance with Marco, he ultimately needed more time to mull things over.
