Bold & Beautiful Shocker: Rebecca Budig Spills Her Real Thoughts on Thorsten Kaye — But Don’t Let Him Find Out!

Rebecca Budig and Thorsten Kaye go way back. Maybe not as far as star-crossed Bold & Beautiful lovers Taylor and Ridge, but pretty damn far, all the way to their days playing Greenlee and Zach on All My Children. But not until they wound up being cast opposite one another as “Braylor” were they even close to coupled up on screen.

“I feel like we have chemistry, but I don’t know if he agrees!” Budig tells Soaps.com with a laugh. “We never really worked together in a situation where we were playing a relationship.”

For most of Kaye’s time on All My Children, which is being revived by Lifetime, he was paired with Alicia Minshew’s Kendall. “Zach was involved with Greenlee for a minute, but it was a different actress,” notes Budig, recalling the spell during which her role was recast. “So my Greenlee and his Zach didn’t work much together. 

“There were group scenes here and there,” she adds, “but Thorsten and I never really did true one-on-one scenes.”

Not that Budig wouldn’t have wanted to work more with Kaye; she did, and she does. “Don’t tell him I adore him, because his head will swell and he won’t be able to get out of the building,” she teases. “But he’s just the best. I love Thorsten a lot, and I have known him a long time, so there’s sort of a history there that helped us connect on screen quickly.”
