Paul Telfer has been chosen as Soap Opera News’ performer of the week for his outstanding work as Xander Kiriakis on Days of our Lives during the week of April 21 – 25, 2025.

If there’s one thing we know, Telfer shines in those intense confrontational scenes. This week, he delivered a masterclass as he finally learned the truth about Philip’s actions. In the story, Vivian visited him at DiMera Enterprises and revealed that she, not Victor, was the one who wrote the letter claiming Philip’s stake in the Kiriakis fortune. She also mentioned that Philip was aware and involved in the scheme. Naturally, Xander struggled to believe it, but Vivian somehow managed to convince him it was the truth.

Later, Xander went home and grabbed a drink, and as Philip entered the scene, Xander wasted no time confronting him about his deceitful ways. As Xander unleashed his frustration on Philip, you could see the depth of anger, disappointment, and pain manifest in him. Telfer flawlessly brought these emotions on display, which clearly elevated the story.
