In the Gabi Chic office, Gabi demands to know where Javi’s been. Javi dismisses being a “tiny bit” late, but Gabi is outraged that she had to pour her own coffee. Javi tells her he was with Leo. Despite her warnings, he really likes him. Gabi calls Leo a world-class creep. Javi opines she’s projecting her heartbreak onto him. Gabi gets offended but quickly relents. Maybe this is about having her heart broken and not wanting the same thing to happen to him. He hugs her and tells her how amazing she is. Gabi apologizes for giving him a hard time about Leo. Javi would really like her support because he has a real connection with Leo.

In his hotel room, Leo reads the faux Lady Whistleblower column aloud to Bonnie, which gives away Body and Soul spoilers. Bonnie holds Leo’s hand as he has a panic attack. As he reads more of the column, Lady Whistleblower dishes about the upcoming Pineview Plunger storyline. Noting it came from his dream, Leo says the only way someone could have known about it was if they got into his laptop. He flashes back to finding Javi in bed with said laptop. “Noooooo!” Leo screams, raising his arms skyward and then burying his face in his hands. He rushes out, leaving Bonnie confused.

Kayla joins Roman at the Pub as Roman bites into a cupcake. When he finishes, Kayla tells her brother she missed the Body and Soul premiere because she was with Sarah, who received Rolf’s serum. They’re hopeful she’ll walk again soon. Roman starts to struggle as they talk, and Kayla notices he’s looking green around the gills. He darts away.

In the DiMera living room, Johnny grows pale and races away from Chanel. Upon returning, a sweaty Johnny worries he’s come down with a stomach bug. Chanel brings him to bed with crackers and ginger ale at the ready. She might even make him some Jello. Johnny says he doesn’t deserve her. When he gets chilled, she climbs into bed to warm him up. Johnny tells Chanel how much he loves her. He never wants to lose what they have. She assures him she’s not going anywhere.

As Alex wipes cupcake crumbs off his mouth, Joy comes by his place to run lines with him. After doing so, they discuss how much they love their jobs. Alex gives her some advice: “Don’t sleep with your co-workers.” Looking guilty, she realizes he’s talking about him and Stephanie. Alex finishes off his cupcake, scoffing over Bonnie’s claim they could be poisoned. Later, as they rehearse, a nauseous Alex runs to the bathroom.

Kate meets Roman in a hospital room as Kayla recounts how he got violently ill and almost lost consciousness. When Kate learns the only thing Roman ate was the cupcake, she tells them Abe also got sick after eating one. “Don’t tell me we are dealing with tainted baked goods again,” Kayla says with a sigh. Kate leaves to notify the cast and crew.

Kate runs into Bonnie, who leaves the Salem Inn. Kate tells her the cupcakes could have been tampered with, and Bonnie tells her Lady Whistleblower is spoiling Body and Soul.

At Gabi Chic, Gabi promises Javi she’ll back off Leo, who storms in. After Gabi leaves for a meeting, Leo exclaims, “I know what you did, Javi. And you’re not going to get away with it.”
